Where to check the admission list

Go straight to the university. These are the official admission pages, and we do not ask for or store any application number, PIN or surname.

This is the official site. We do not check results, placements or admissions, and we will never ask for an index number, a PIN or a date of birth.

How admission lists and offers work

Apply on the university’s own portal, wait for its notice, and check the list on its official page. UG says successful applicants get a text message and can use its status page with a serial number or surname, and that offers go out between the close of applications and the day before matriculation. If a site asks you to pay to see a list, it is not the university. KNUST told applicants not to share money, passwords or documents with anyone claiming to act for it. See the WASSCE results guide.

Cut-off points: what is published, by whom

A cut-off point here is an aggregate: the total of your best grades, where a lower number is better. Meeting a cut-off does not guarantee a place. UG says its cut-off points follow the previous year’s quotas and are influenced by the current year’s performance, so treat them as a guide.

• KNUST. The cut-off points shown are those in KNUST's own published guide; figures reported elsewhere for 2026/2027 are added once KNUST publishes them. Its December 2025 notice told applicants to be guided by the 2024/2025 entry cut-off points attached to its advertisement.

Tables on blogs and social media for other years or other universities are often copied and often wrong. We do not reproduce any figure we cannot tie to the university’s own site.

What to do if you are not admitted

• Check the details first. UG tells applicants to make sure the WAEC index number, exam year and month on the application are right. A wrong entry is the most common reason a list does not show you.
• Look at the fee-paying route. UG says qualified applicants who miss the competitive cut-off for a preferred programme may opt for its fee-paying scheme, if they chose that option on the form. The table above has a fee-paying column.
• Try another institution that is still open. Universities, technical universities, colleges of education, nursing colleges and vocational schools each run their own windows. Our register lists 11 technical universities, 50 colleges of education and 178 nursing and midwifery colleges, with the regulator that lists each one.
• Do not pay anyone to get you in. UG and KNUST have both warned that nobody can influence admission for a fee.
• Ask the admissions office. Use the contacts on the university’s own site, not a number from a chat group.

Questions about university admissions

Is 2026-2027 admission out?

It depends on the university, because each public university publishes its own list and there is no national one. The University of Ghana's list was reported out on 17 September 2026. KNUST said on 16 September that no general undergraduate list was out yet. UCC's regular applications closed on 25 September 2026. The calendar above shows where each one stands.

Which university in Ghana is still open for admission in 2026?

Yen.com.gh reported on 11 September 2026 that UPSA, the University of Energy and Natural Resources, Kumasi Technical University and Sunyani Technical University were open until further notice, and that UEW, Accra Technical University and UMaT had deadlines between 18 and 30 September. That report is a news summary, not a university notice, and those dates have now passed or may have moved. Check the university's own portal before you pay for a voucher.

What is the deadline for UG admission in 2026?

For Ghanaian undergraduate applicants the University of Ghana's page gives 16 April to 8 September 2026. Selected College of Health Sciences programmes (medicine, dental surgery, diagnostic radiography, dietetics, medical laboratory sciences and midwifery) closed on 24 July 2026, and diploma to degree and Ghanaian applicants with a foreign background closed on 21 August 2026. UG says the deadline for several other health programmes was still to be determined when we read the page.

Is the UG admission list out?

Yen.com.gh reported on 17 September 2026 that UG had released its 2026/2027 undergraduate list, to be checked on UG's admission status page with a serial number or surname. UG's own admissions announcement page was empty when we looked on 8 October, so use the status link below rather than relying on our word. UG says successful applicants also get a text message.

Is KNUST forms out for 2026?

No, not any more. KNUST's how-to-apply page says undergraduate e-vouchers for 2026/2027 are closed. Postgraduate forms were on sale until 30 September 2026, and forms for undergraduate top-up and diploma programmes at the Institute of Distance Learning are on sale until 30 November 2026.

What are the UG cut-off points for 2026 admissions?

What are the UCC cut-off points for all courses in 2026?

UCC publishes them on its admissions site. The page offers 2026/2027, 2025/2026 and 2024/2025 and listed 103 programmes for 2026/2027 when we read it. Open the link below and pick the year. We do not copy the table because it loads programme by programme on UCC's site.

Has the UCC released an admission list for 2026?

UCC runs its admission list on a separate site, linked below. On 8 October that site's security certificate failed verification. If your browser shows a security warning, stop and reach the list from UCC's main website instead. Yen.com.gh reported that UCC set 26 September 2026 as the reopening date for new Level 100 students.

What is the deadline for UCC admission forms?

UCC's application portal shows regular programmes closing on 25 September 2026. Yen.com.gh reported that medicine, pharmacy, optometry and several health science programmes closed earlier, on 11 September 2026.
