School fees budget calculator
Type each cost your school charges, and the ones that come with school such as transport, books and uniforms, and say whether it is paid every term or once a year. The calculator adds up a term, a year and the monthly saving that covers the year, for one child or several. It holds no fees of its own, so use the figures your school gave you in writing.

Questions people ask
- How do I budget for school fees?
- List every cost the school charges and every cost that comes with going to school, such as transport, books and uniforms. Mark each as paid every term or once a year. The calculator adds a term, a year and the amount to put aside each month so the year is covered.
- How much are school fees in Ghana?
- It depends on the school, the level and whether the child boards. We show a school's fees only when the school reports them on its own SchoolRegistry page, with the date. For any other school, ask it for the figures in writing and type them here.
- What costs do parents forget?
- Costs that are not on the fees bill: transport, feeding money, books and stationery, uniforms and shoes, exam registration, and items a boarding school asks students to bring. Add each one as its own line.
- How many terms are in a school year?
- Your school's own calendar says. The calculator lets you set the number of terms or semesters, and counts each term cost that many times.
- Can I budget for more than one child?
- Yes, if the children attend the same school with the same costs. Set the number of children and the totals are multiplied. For children at different schools, work out each school on its own.
- Do you keep the figures I type?
- No. The sums are done in your browser, and nothing you type is sent to us or stored.
