University of Ghana cut-off points, 2026/2027
These are the 63 cut-off lines the University of Ghana publishes for 2026/2027 undergraduate admissions, copied from its own admissions site on 8 October 2026. A cut-off is an aggregate, so a lower number is a harder programme to get into. Meeting one does not guarantee a place, and UG says it is a guide based on last year’s quotas.

Questions about UG cut-off points
- What are the UG cut-off points for 2026 admissions?
- The University of Ghana publishes them for 2026/2027 on its admissions site, and the 63 lines are in the tables on this page exactly as UG prints them. Lower is better. UG says cut-off points follow the previous year's quotas and are influenced by the current year's performance, so use them as a guide.
- Does UG accept D7?
- UG's admissions FAQ says an applicant needs at least credits, meaning A1 to C6 in the WASSCE, in the required core subjects and electives. D7 is below a credit. Applicants must also hold at least C6 in integrated science and social studies.
- Is E8 a pass in WASSCE?
- E8 is below the credit level that UG asks for, which is A1 to C6. Whether E8 counts as a pass on your certificate is a matter for WAEC's published scheme; WAEC has not published that table.
- What is the deadline for University of Ghana Forms 2026?
- UG's deadlines page gives 8 September 2026 for Ghanaian undergraduate applicants other than selected College of Health Sciences programmes, 24 July 2026 for those health programmes, and 21 August 2026 for diploma to degree applicants and Ghanaian applicants with a foreign background. All of those dates have passed.
- What does the number in brackets next to a cut-off mean?
- UG prints some cut-offs as two numbers, such as 7(8). UG does not explain the brackets, so they are copied as printed and not interpreted. Ask UG's admissions office if a programme you want shows one.
