Terms of use

These terms apply to everyone who uses SchoolRegistry Ghana. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. How we handle personal data is set out separately in our privacy notice.

What the site is

SchoolRegistry Ghana is a free directory of schools, colleges and universities in Ghana, built from public lists published by the government and regulators, and from details schools add themselves. It is an independent service. It is not run by, or speaking for, the Ministry of Education or any exam or regulatory body.

We work hard to keep the register accurate, but public lists go out of date and schools change. Before you make a decision that matters, such as paying fees or applying for a place, check the details with the school and with the official body. Details a school has added are labelled as reported by the school.

School owner accounts

Only someone who works for a school, or is authorised by it, may claim that school's page. When you claim a page you confirm that you are entitled to do so and that what you add is true. We review every claim and may ask for proof, refuse a claim, or remove access if a claim turns out to be wrong.

You keep ownership of the text and photos you add. You give us permission to show them on the site and in our search results and data products, with the school named as the source. You must only upload photos you have the right to use.

Reviews, questions and other things people post

Reviews and questions must be honest, about the school, and written by someone with real experience of it. Do not post anything abusive, false, or that names or identifies a child, and do not share anyone's personal details. We read what is posted and may edit, hold or remove anything that breaks these rules.

Study abroad (SchoolRegistry Pathways)

Pathways is free to families. Our partner universities and colleges pay us when a student we place enrols. We take care of admission: we shortlist programmes, prepare and submit applications with you, and follow them up until the offer letter comes.

The visa is decided by the embassy of the country of study, so no one can promise it. We prepare you for it, but the visa application is yours and we never lodge it in your name. You must give us true and complete information and documents. We will stop working on an application that relies on false documents.

Money you pay for tuition, deposits, English tests, visa fees or proof of funds goes to those third parties, not to us. Check every invoice with your counsellor before you pay. Write to pathway@schoolregistryghana.com with any question.

SchoolRegistry Academy

If you join an Academy list, we will contact you once when that course or practice opens, using the email or phone number you gave. Joining a list does not commit you to anything, and you can ask us to remove you at any time.

Using our content and data

You may link to any page and quote short parts of it with a link back. If you reuse figures or lists from the site, name SchoolRegistry Ghana and the original source we cite. Do not copy the site in bulk, run automated scraping that slows it down, or present our pages as your own.

Things we are not responsible for

The site is provided as it is. We are not responsible for decisions made on information that a school or a public list got wrong, for what other websites we link to say or do, or for a school's, university's or embassy's decisions. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the law of Ghana, including the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the site changes. The date below shows the latest version. For corrections to a school's details, write to data@schoolregistryghana.com. For claims and owner accounts, write to claims@schoolregistryghana.com.
