University of Ghana directs students with CGPA below 1.00 to withdraw
By SchoolRegistry Ghana Newsroom ·
Punch reported that the University of Ghana has told undergraduate students whose Cumulative Grade Point Average is under 1.00 at the close of the 2025/2026 academic year to leave their programmes. The directive appeared in a public notice from the university's Academic Affairs Directorate, which cited Section 9.26 of the University Regulations for Junior Members (2017). That regulation requires a CGPA of at least 1.00 plus school or departmental requirements to move to the next level, and it allows no probation for students who fall short. Students were told to view their CGPAs on the Management Information System Web and use the Student and Academic Services Portal to choose the Withdrawal Request option.
