A roofing company in Georgia has a salesperson who closes seven out of ten appointments he sits in. His problem is not closing. His problem is that half his week goes on phone calls to people who are not ready, and by Thursday he has three appointments instead of the twelve he could handle. He needs someone to make those calls: to open honestly, ask the right questions, find the four homeowners in fifty who actually need a roof this season, and put them on his calendar. That someone does not need to be in Georgia. That someone can be in West Africa with a headset, a dialer and a script they have practised until it sounds like a conversation. This is the Lead Generation and Appointment Setting course from SchoolRegistry Academy, and this first lesson is for two kinds of people. If you are deciding whether to enrol, it will tell you what the job really is, how much of it there is, what you will be able to do at the end, and exactly how the ten weeks run, so you decide with facts. If you have already enrolled, this is your orientation, everything to know before Monday of Week 1. Nothing here is graded. I am going to talk to you the way a sales manager talks to a new setter on their first morning: straight, specific, and without the hype this trade attracts. Let me start with the size of the market, and I will be honest about its shape. The United States government does not track appointment setter as its own occupation. What it tracks is the people you set appointments for. Wholesale and manufacturing sales representatives alone are one and a half million people, with about a hundred and twenty-three thousand openings every year, and behind them sit the home-services trades, roofing, solar, HVAC, plumbing, and the software companies, all of whom pay someone to fill the salesperson's calendar. The median pay for a US sales representative is just over seventy-six thousand dollars, and the setter who keeps that person busy is worth a real share of it; remote rates from West Africa are different and I will not quote you one. In the United Kingdom, the government's careers service puts a sales representative between twenty-three and fifty thousand pounds, and it warns, correctly, that advertised pay often includes on-target earnings, which is a phrase you will learn to read carefully. Now the honest part. Appointment setter is a smaller search than customer service, about three thousand searches a month in the United States against two hundred thousand. That is not a weakness. It means fewer trained people are competing for roles where the employer can measure exactly what you produce, and where a setter who books qualified appointments is kept and paid, while one who books junk is gone in a month. This course trains the first kind. Here is what the taught weeks cover. Weeks 1 and 2 are the foundations: what the job actually is on a normal day, the difference between a lead, a contact and an appointment, and the honest opener, the first ten seconds that decide whether the person stays on the line. Then discovery and qualification, the questions that find the four homeowners in fifty who are actually ready, and the discipline to let the other forty-six go politely. Weeks 3 and 4 are objection handling, and there are two of them because objections are the whole job. The first pass covers the common ones, not interested, send me something, call me later. The second covers the hard ones, price, timing, the spouse who has to be asked, the competitor who quoted cheaper, all handled without pressure and without a single untrue word, because a setter who lies to book an appointment costs the salesperson a wasted afternoon and costs you the job. Week 5 specialises you in the contractor trades, roofing, solar, heating and cooling, plumbing, and what each homeowner actually fears. Week 6 is the CRM, logging and reporting, because an appointment nobody can find in the system did not happen. Then a review week and the final assessment, and after that the practicum. The whole course works on the same fictional trades through a company called Brightline, so by the end you know their offers, their service areas and their objections like a real employer's. Now the outcome, and you should hold us to it. When you finish, you will be able to take a list for a US home-services company or a small software firm and work it properly: open in a way that sounds like a person rather than a script, ask discovery questions that find out whether this homeowner has the problem, the budget and the timing, and qualify or disqualify with a method. You will handle the objections that end most calls, without pressure and without saying anything untrue about the price, the offer or the company. You will book appointments the salesperson can actually keep: the right day, the right person present, the right expectation set. You will log every call in the CRM in a way the team can act on, and report your week in the numbers a sales manager looks at, dials, conversations, qualified, booked, showed. And you will know where the job stops: you never call someone who has asked not to be called, you never invent urgency, you never quote a price you are not authorised to quote, and you never record a card number or a private detail in a note. Each of these is a lesson with a practice call on the simulator, and each is graded in the practicum, so when you tell an employer you can do it, you will have done it, with the record to show. The mechanics, so nothing surprises you. There are four study days a week with short video lessons, each around ten minutes, and a short quiz under every lesson. Pass the quiz and the next lesson unlocks; your best score is the one that counts, and retrying never lowers it. Alongside the lessons is the Academy Playground, where you practise on Brightline Dialer, the Academy's own calling simulator. The calls are spoken. Fictional homeowners answer in their own voices, ask questions, raise objections a

WHY THIS ACADEMY IS DIFFERENT

You do the job before you get the job.

Most courses in West Africa teach you about a job. SchoolRegistry Academy makes you do it, inside a company built for your track, with your own work inbox, timed practicum shifts and marked work, until you have evidence an employer can check. On this track the company is Brightline Home Services, a fictional US contractor network (HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical). You work a real dialer as a remote appointment setter, inside US calling-hours and consent rules.

01

You do the job before you get the job.

Every track trains inside a made-up company that behaves like a real one: real requests, real customers, real deadlines, real consequences. You are not watching someone else work; you are doing the work.

02

Real tools, not slides about tools.

You work in the software the job actually uses, and a tools library inside your handbook holds the tutorials we checked ourselves.

03

Your own work email from day one.

Every student gets a real inbox on students.schoolregistryghana.com. Mail from your fictional workplace arrives there, including the ones that are traps, so you learn to handle a workday inbox before an employer hands you one.

04

Two weeks of timed practicum shifts.

After eight weeks of lessons you work timed shifts on your simulator, graded the way an employer would grade you. Some mistakes fail the shift outright, the same mistakes that get people fired.

05

Your work is marked, with feedback you can act on.

Assignments are reviewed, returned with comments, and you resubmit until it is right. Certificates are only issued under the published rules: the required work done, tuition covered, an 80 percent overall result.

06

A community that keeps going after the course.

The Commons gives you rooms for your cohort, mentoring pairs, alumni opportunities and events. The Getting Hired course is included with every track. No job is promised; the evidence you leave with is real.

DIRECT ANSWER

What will you learn in lead generation and appointment-setting training?

SchoolRegistry Academy’s Lead Generation and Appointment Setting course is a ten-week online programme for beginners and career changers. Classes are live on Ghana time, and a self-paced version starts any day. First, students learn prospect research, professional openings, qualification and objection handling. Second, students practise written follow-up, call decisions and CRM-style documentation. Third, tutor-reviewed assignments, revisions and a final simulation create evidence of applied judgment. The October 2026 cohort follows a daily study plan with one live class a week. Certification requires the published course completion rules, full tuition coverage and an 80% overall result. The programme develops demonstrable outbound sales-support skills; it does not promise employment, appointments, clients or income.

A good fit if you…

BEFORE YOU DECIDE

Good questions.
Straight answers.

Is this only for home-service trades like HVAC and plumbing?+

No. You'll specialize in trades in Week 5 because the demand there is real and urgent, but the exact skill you're building transfers directly to real estate, solar, healthcare, and B2B software: anywhere a business books appointments from cold outreach.

I get nervous on the phone. Can I actually do this?+

Week 1 starts from the actual fundamentals: the vocabulary of the job, the anatomy of a call: assuming zero prior comfort with cold calling. The nervousness itself is addressed directly in Week 3, which covers the psychology of why rejection stings and how to stop absorbing it personally.

What does the CRM training actually cover?+

Week 6 teaches you to log a call the way a real manager expects: clear notes, correct outcome tagging, next-step scheduling: and to read a performance report and understand what it's actually telling you about your own work.

When does the cohort begin?+

October 12, 2026 at 10:00 AM GMT (West Africa). Lessons run every weekday, about an hour each, with one live working session a week; your instructor shares the day, time and joining link.

Is a job guaranteed?+

No. The Academy develops and assesses skills. Employment depends on your performance, employer requirements, and available roles.

Can I start now instead of waiting for the cohort?+

Yes. The self-paced track opens the day you pay. It has no cohort dates and no live classes. You learn on your own schedule with coach feedback online, and you get 12 months of access. For this track it costs GH₵ 2,350. The certificate rules are identical.

What does the fee include?+

GH₵ 1,750 covers this track. You can pay in full or in two GH₵ 880 installments, with the balance due three weeks later. Review the handbook and checkout terms before paying.
